WiTT awards scholarships to female high school seniors in the Nashville Metropolitan Statistical Area who will be enrolling in college with the intent to pursue a career in a technology-related field. The data science masters program at Vanderbilt University is designed to be computationally intensive, with a focus on statistical principles while remaining accessible to students with broad educational backgrounds. The Data Science Graduate Student Scholarship provides a 100% tuition scholarship to one female WiTT Member enrolling in the data science master’s program through Vanderbilt’s Data Science Institute. The scholarship is awarded in January and June of each year. Recipients must be residents of middle Tennessee who are at least 2+ years out from high school, home school, or receiving their GED. The $3,500 scholarship can be used at any accredited college or university headquartered in the United States. The WiTT Member Scholarship Program is designed to support WiTT members in their pursuit of a technology degree (graduate or undergraduate) that will allow them to either advance their existing IT career or transition into the field.

These activities include, but are not limited to, training, certification, and conference registration. Through this program, WiTT members may submit requests to have the costs of their professional development activities covered, either partially or in full, up to a limit of $1,000 per request. The WiTT Member Professional Development Program is designed to support WiTT members in their pursuit of professional development opportunities that will allow them to either advance their existing IT career or transition into the field.
